Graduate Credit Information for ed2go Courses

Great news! Optional graduate credit is now being offered through a partnership with Madonna University's Professional Development Program. Additional fees apply. Please review procedures below.

For ed2go courses, each online class is 24 contact hours of training. A graduate credit requires 15 contact hours. Therefore, one online class earns one academic graduate credit. The nine remaining contact hours can be applied to a future course, if you choose to do so.

Step One • Complete Your Online Enrollment Form and Orientation Process through http://www.ed2go.com/gmpdc/.

Step Two • Register and Pay for Your Madonna University PDP Graduate Credit within 2 weeks of beginning the ed2go online course. PDP tuition is $150 per credit - this is separate from your ed2go class registration fees that were paid through GMPDC.

• Our ed2go course number and name changes every academic semester. Please refer to our website (click on “Development Opportunities” on the left menu) http://www.madonna.edu/pdp for the current course name/#. (May - Aug. 2011 sessions are “ed2go: Quality Instructional Practices - EDU 5862.07”)

Step Three • Complete the online class (and continue to accumulate your hours until you reach the number necessary for the number of graduate credits if you register for more than one credit).

Step Four • Download the Assignment Template from our website http://www.madonna.edu/pdp under "PDP Forms." Please refer to our website for paper length requirements and due dates. NOTE: If you create a work product for your ed2go online class which demonstrates the implementation of the online class training into your K-12 classroom, you may send a copy of that work product in lieu of our standard PDP assignment. Please contact our office if you need clarification on this exception.

Step Five • Mail your Professional Development Program graduate credit course paper to our office for processing. Include the certificate(s) of completion that you receive from the ed2go class.
