Introduction

Being a beginning teacher is no easy job. There are many challenges and yet there never seems to be enough time to do and plan everything. Teachers today are expected to have multiple roles. Not only are teachers expected to be good class managers, but they are expected to be experts in their subject areas as well.

With teaching, as with many other professions, time is an important commodity. The ideas in this wiki handbook are not meant to be models of best practice, but are meant to give new teachers some time saving ideas.

This wiki is a collection of teaching ideas. Teaching is about sharing and adapting ideas to your own practice. Wherever possible the writers have tried to cite the original sources. In some cases finding the original has been impossible. We would be happy to make any corrections and attributions that are brought to our attention.
