LoTiIs your school district motivated to engage in 21st century teaching and learning?

The Greater Manchester Professional Development Center is pleased to announce two special
interest workshops offered in collaboration with the LoTi Connection.

 

  • A "blended" LoTi Mentor Certification Institute will take place at GMPDC onTuesday and  Wednesday, March 23rd and 24th, 2010. A third session will be offered “online” allowing busy educators to complete the Institute at a time that is most convenient for them at home or at the office.  The LoTi Mentor Certification Institute is designed to provide building and district administrators, mentors, and lead teachers with the skills, strategies, and resources necessary to move their school building or district to a higher level of teaching innovation as well as improve student achievement. The emphasis is on the processes underlying 21st Century teaching and learning as well as skill development in the areas of planning effective staff development aligned to the NETS for Teachers, implementing a peer mentoring model, and delivering efficient and differentiated digital-age professional development to staff. Fees and Registration: $450.00 per participant.
  • A “blended” LoTi Professional Administrator Program will take place at GMPDCon Thursday, March 25th, 2010. Day 2 of the program will be offered “online” allowing busy educational leaders to complete the workshop at a time that is most convenient for them at home or at the office. The online portion will take approximately 1.5 hours of your time. The LoTi Professional Administrator program (LOTI program) is designed for district and school leaders who want to improve student achievement using 21st Century learning and researched best practices. This academy includes strategies for (1) conducting classroom walkthroughs using handhelds; (2) designing professional development opportunities that target greater rigor and relevance, student engagement, and research best-practices; and (3) creating a campus Next Steps Action Plan. Fees and Registration: $300.00 per participant (includes 1 free annual license to LoTi Profiler or LoTi Observer for a school building).
