- Have a great summer and we'll see you in September with new Performance Plus sessions!
Beginning sessions are designed for educators who have not used the Performance Tracker tool and would like a hands-on introduction and practice experience. Beginner level topics include an overview of navigation, data available, generating reports on individuals and groups of students.
Data Team work sessions are designed for data teams comprised of 2-4 people who want to use Performance Tracker to look at grade level, building and district data, including recently released NECAP scores.
Intermediate/Advanced sessions are designed for educators who are familiar with the tool, can generate basic Proficiency level reports, and have basic understanding of the data available in P+. Topics will include: Comparison Reports, Assessment Scores Report and Excel conditional formatting, Item Analysis, using multiple filters to find answers, looking at local assessments with Performance Tracker, and Content Library for generating standards based in-class activities. In addition, the trainer can help you to use Performance Tracker toward your own data goals.
District Level Administrators: Use of Performance Plus Tools District-wide: In this session, district level administrators will learn which reports are most useful for exploring district data. There will time to share best practices and brainstorm strategies for optimum use of the P+ tools in a district.
For Principals - Train the Trainer: In this session, principals will come together and learn different ways of implementing Performance Tracker tools in their schools. Principals will have opportunity brush up on their own the tool, and to share best practices. There will also be ample opportunity to brainstorm solutions to the challenges of using Performance Tracker in the transition to a data informed culture.
Special Education and Performance Tracker sessions are designed for special education teachers, case managers, specialists, and special education administrators. We will explore what Performance Tracker offers with the individual student in mind. Topics will include: Student Detail page, Interventions module, filtering for special education focused results, and the myriad of reports that can be generated to look at individual students and your special education population as a whole.
Technical Aspects of Creating Assessment Frameworks Using Assessment Builder: This three-hour session is for technology oriented educators, support staff, tech integrators, and technology specialists who will be responsible not necessarily for CREATING assessments but for loading pre-established assessments into Assessment Builder. We will delve into the nitty-gritty of creating assessment frameworks using content library and using teacher-created assessment questions. Attendees are encouraged to bring electronic AND hard copies of assessments to practice creating the frameworks in assessment builder. If using teacher created assessment questions, it will be useful to match those questions to standards prior to the workshop.
Understanding Assessment Builder: This three-hour workshop is for school leaders planning for utilizing Assessment Builder, and teachers actually creating the assessments (not establishing the frameworks in AB). Attendees will get a demonstration of the process of creating Assessment Frameworks so that they can understand the challenges, time commitments, preliminary requirements to start the process, and especially how assessments should be created to facilitate smooth Framework creation. We will also address hand scoring, using bubble reader, and what kind of organization needs to be done regarding personnel and resources.
